Our Funded Projects
Here are some of the projects that Chalkhill Community Trust Fund has supported, working alongside other teams to bring our community together.

Kickboxing England
Grants Awarded (2020 - 2021): £5,000
This project was funded to provide kickboxing classes for both adults and children in Chalkhill.

With the aim of improving residents physical and mental health, as well as promoting active citizenship, increase confidence.

ChalkHill Community Centre
A variety of projects were funded to assist the Chalkhill Community Centre in their efforts to support the community. Details are provided below:
Grants Awarded (2023–2024): £10,000

Celebration Club (£5,000):
Funding provided for weekly activities for residents aged 45 and over, aimed at addressing social isolation and improving mental well-being. -
Centre Renovation Project (£5,000):
Support for upgrading key facilities, including lighting and carpeting, to benefit the centre's general users.
Grants Awarded (2021–2022): £20,000

Business Plan Project:
Funding allocated to hire additional staff for reception, administrative, and support services for residents and members of the public.

Brent Mixed Voices Choir
The purpose of the group is to bring people together to uplight people's moods through song and singing. The sessions take place every Tuesday, they help attendees to interact and build relationships. ​

Memorial Wall (MTVH)
Grants Awarded (2021 - 2022): £6,000

Together Forever project: was about honouring Chalkhill's past, present and future community. With aims to create a safe space for the community to connect and talk about the people's experiences.
The design of the painting is an avenue to express people's feelings, captures their stories and memories to live on.

Chalkhill Primary School
A variety of projects were funded to support the children of Chalkhill Primary School. Details are provided below: ​

Reflection Zone project was funded to create a designated space for kids to regulate their emotions with the use of sensory equipment etc.

​The laptop project was funded to provide disadvantaged families with access to technology to support their learning at school. ​​​

Chalkhill Champions Holiday Camp
This funding was granted to keep younger children busy and active throughout the holiday period, while giving parents a childcare option.
Children gain from a variety of activities (cooking, table tennis, drama, football, literacy, arts and crafts) that will improve their communication, leadership and social interaction skills. ​

Love Chalkhill Festival CIC
​This grant funded the annual Festival, a celebration designed to honor the community's diversity and bring residents together for a day of entertainment and festivities.
Activities typically include health checks, financial assistance services, and stalls from cosmetic and clothing vendors, among others

Unique Community
Grants Awarded (2021 - 2022): £11,000
In partnership with Chalkhill Primary School, the funding was used for the Snakes and Ladder project. This was focused on supporting Year 6 student's mental health while transitioning into Secondary School.
